Name: Baba Metzia
Description: A Talmudic tractate dealing with the laws concerning lost property, trusts, the prohibition of usury, buying, selling, lending, hiring, renting and other such legal matters. It is based on Exodus, Chapter 22 and 23:3, Leviticus 19:13, 25:14 and 36, as well as Deuteronomy 22:1-4 and other Biblical passages. Its name means Middle Gate. It is the second in a group of three dealing with such legal matters. It is the second tractate in the Order Nezikin (Damages).
